Due to a shortage of motorhome pitches in summer, some travelers stay on parking lots, including in Münster. A couple from Dorsten spent the night on the city's largest parking lot for 18 euros per day, cheaper than a campsite. Others parked for free at the East Bath, but spaces were occupied, so they parked illegally. Municipalities set rules for motorhome parking, and spots can be found via apps.
