In Östringen, an unknown perpetrator set fire to the awning of a caravan parked on a meadow on Am Schwimmbad street. The 68-year-old owner heard noises, went outside and extinguished the flames before they could spread to the caravan. The man was uninjured; the awning sustained material damage. The Bruchsal criminal police have opened an investigation on suspicion of arson.
