Due to scarce motorhome pitches in summer, some travelers stay on regular parking lots, including in Münster. A couple from Dorsten chose a central lot for €18 per day, cheaper than any campsite. Free spots at the East Bath are often occupied, leading some to park illegally. There are no uniform rules: each municipality decides where motorhomes may park and whether it costs. Some find spots via apps, preferring lots to avoid registration and crowds.
