The German amphibious caravan-boat Sealander has been on sale since 2011, combining a towable caravan and a motorboat. It seats up to six on two 185 cm benches that convert into a 151×205 cm double bed; interior features LED lighting, a 12 V battery and two 230 V sockets. With a gross weight of 750 kg, it requires only a category B licence; the hand-laid polyester hull has a double bottom, 47 cm draft and 30 cm wave tolerance, and is certified as a category D motorboat. Prices start at €39,750 including VAT without an engine (optional 5–10 hp), and with options exceed €40,000.
