PleinAir selected five food and wine routes for motorhomes in Italy for October. The routes cover Vercelli (rice), Marche and Tuscany (white truffle), Umbria (new olive oil), as well as chestnut harvesting and ancient grains. Stops include the 15th-century water-powered rice mill Antico Mulino – Riseria San Giovanni in Fontanetto Po, the Cistercian abbey of Santa Maria di Lucedio (founded 1123) and the Tenuta Colombara estate. In Marche, the Acqualagna International White Truffle Fair runs on 25 and 31 October and 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15 November 2026; in Volterra, Volterragusto and the Mostra Mercato del Tartufo Bianco e dei prodotti tipici dell’Alta Val di Cecina are scheduled for 24–25 October and 31 October – 1 November 2026. In Umbria, Frantoi Aperti runs from 17 October to 15 November 2026. Specific parking locations are listed, including the Camping Club Pesaro stop on Via J. F. Kennedy with a €10 fee that includes discounted admissions and an excursion to the Furlo Gorge.
