Black Water

Sewage, black tank, toilet waste, holding tank, effluent, sanitation waste

Black water is waste water from the motorhome or RV toilet, containing human waste. In North American RVs this is collected in a black water tank; in European motorhomes toilet waste typically goes into a cassette.

Black water must be disposed of only at authorised dump stations or service points. Never discharge into drains, rivers, or on the ground. In the USA, BLM land and most campgrounds have designated dump stations.
