The Seongnam Civil Society Coalition and 351 residents filed a public audit request with the Board of Audit and Inspection over the auto camping site in Yuldong Park. The petition cites discrepancies between the park development plan and actual facilities, operation of an unregistered campsite, and the proposed rezoning of 23,615 square meters from conservation green zone to natural green zone. The Seongnam City Council has received a proposal to amend the city management plan, including the rezoning, with a hearing scheduled before the urban construction committee on October 7. The coalition is calling on the council to postpone the hearing and the city to halt the rezoning process until the audit results are released.
