At the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf (28 August – 6 September 2026), Dethleffs presented the c.core concept (also referred to as C.Core) based on the Volkswagen Crafter. It is an experimental platform, not a precursor to a production model.
The Necto body construction uses aluminium sheets inspired by bird bone structure and recycled PET, saving up to 45 kg in weight. The vehicle features an induction hob, a pull-out outdoor kitchen, modular furniture, a projector instead of a TV, a grey water recycling system, heating on hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO), and a slide-out solar panel with up to 600 W output. According to Dethleffs, the system can operate autonomously from May to September under favourable conditions. The concept also includes a lithium-ion battery and a closed-loop water supply system.
