Slide-Out

A slide-out is a section of a motorhome's wall and floor that slides outward hydraulically or electrically when parked, extending the interior living space by 20–40 cm on one or more sides.

Slide-outs significantly increase interior width when parked but must be fully retracted before driving. Multiple slide-outs are possible on large Class A motorhomes. They require regular maintenance of seals and slide mechanisms.
