Austrian tent specialist GentleTent launched the B Turtle in 2018. The inflatable microcaravan is towed by an e-bike or a pedal-powered bike, provided the rider has enough strength. In transport mode it measures 113 × 73.5 × 79 cm and weighs 29 kg empty. It rolls on 12-inch wheels, has a slide-out storage box and carries the tent folded on top in a weatherproof zipped bag. At the campsite it becomes a sleeping space for two, and GentleTent promised a set-up time of around 15 minutes. When not needed for camping, it can be used as a plain bike cargo trailer.
Bankruptcy and liquidation
The B Turtle was sold and rented in Austria, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands and Ireland. By May 2024 GentleTent had already gone through one bankruptcy filing and a restructuring. In May 2025 the company filed for bankruptcy again and went into liquidation. Production of the B Turtle stopped and existing stock disappeared from the market. A well-kept example may still turn up on the second-hand market.
