Caravan settlement in Graz allowed to stay temporarily

In the Weinzödl district of Graz, near the GAK training center, about 20 caravans have been set up on a meadow by the Mur River. A group of Roma has been there for over a week. Police confirmed the camp is permitted while one of the children receives hospital care. Graz has not issued a local ordinance banning illegal camping, so the settlement is not prohibited.
