Volkswagen has introduced the all-wheel-drive ID. Buzz 4MOTION. The new model features two electric motors with a combined output of 340 hp (250 kW). Maximum trailer weight is 1,800 kg for the standard wheelbase and 1,600 kg for the long wheelbase. The standard version comes with a 79 kWh battery, while the long-wheelbase version gets an 86 kWh battery. The vehicle is equipped with Connected Travel Assist, which recognizes traffic light signals and CAN brake autonomously to a complete stop, as well as a 2 kW V2L function for powering external devices. Market launch is scheduled for summer 2026.

Meanwhile, Dutch company Ventje has started production of the eVentje electric camper based on the VW ID. Buzz. The model features a modular wooden interior, an optional pop-up roof, and starts at €95,000. The camper includes an induction cooktop kitchen and a convertible sleeping area for two.
