Haaland buys limited-edition Supreme × Airstream travel trailer

nuCamp introduced the 2027 Haven 190 travel trailer at the 2026 Hershey RV show. The new model is a smaller version of the Haven 220, measuring 19 feet (5.8 meters) in length and sleeping three. It features a single-axle BAL chassis, aluminum frame, and full composite shell. Standard equipment includes rooftop solar, a 100Ah lithium battery, a 1200Wh inverter, Alde heating, and a Truma Aventa air conditioner. An optional Boondock Package adds off-road tires, torsion suspension, and higher ground clearance. The trailer weighs under 3,500 lbs (1,587 kg) and has an MSRP of $59,000.

Starting October 2026, the Wyoming Department of Transportation will implement the WY22 SAFE PASS program, requiring a mountain safety self-certification for certain large vehicles on Teton Pass. Drivers of RVs, vehicles towing trailers, and vehicles with a GVWR over 10,000 pounds must complete the certification. The program includes an online review covering steep grades, brake fade, and load limits; the certificate is valid for one year. Once launched, operating these vehicles on the pass without a valid certificate will not be allowed. All existing regulations, including seasonal closures and the 60,000-pound weight limit, remain in effect.

A San Jose woman, Elizabeth, paid $3,000 for a motorhome to save on rent. When she tried to register it, she discovered the title was not in the seller's name and belonged to the state of Nevada; the seller stopped responding and the Facebook Marketplace account disappeared. While waiting to resolve the title issue, the trailer was parked on the street and disappeared a few weeks later. San Jose police were unavailable for an interview but said by email that Elizabeth could request assistance via 911; she was eventually able to file a theft report, but police never arrived.

Elon’s town council is considering amendments to its land management ordinance that would replace current restrictions on RVs, campers, and trailers. Under existing rules, RVs in residential areas must be garaged unless the owner obtains special permission. The new draft would allow parking in a residential driveway at least 20 feet from the road, but prohibits hookups to water or sewer services. Unlicensed or inoperable RVs would require a special use permit. The planning board unanimously recommended against the changes in August, preferring to regulate RVs under the town’s code of ordinances, but Mayor Emily Sharpe said that option had already been rejected. The council directed staff to make minor revisions before a final decision later this month.

Warwick fire crews tackled a camper fire on Thursday afternoon in Warwick, Rhode Island. The fire occurred at around 2 p.m. on Marblehead Street near Rita Street. The fire appears to have affected a nearby building. An NBC 10 News crew observed multiple people being taken into custody at the scene; authorities did not immediately share information about the incident.

A travel trailer being used as a residence was destroyed by fire Wednesday, Sept. 16, in the 2900 block of Merlin Road in Josephine County, Oregon. Rural Metro Fire crews responded at 6:26 p.m.; no occupants were injured. One resident attempted to extinguish the fire, but the extinguisher was too small. The fire did not spread to nearby vegetation; the cause remains unknown.
