Citizens of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus launch campervan conversion business in Portugal

In Maceira (Leiria), the company Your Caravan has been founded by Anton Gafarov (Russia), Dimitry Plaskunou (Belarus) and Dimitry Semeniuk (Ukraine). The business focuses on converting vehicles into motorhomes. Despite the war between their home countries, the partners stated they maintain friendly relations and work as 'one family'.

Designer creates what he calls 'the smallest mobile home in the world' on a pickup base

A Brazilian designer unveiled a micro mobile home with just 1.95 m² of living space, built on the chassis of a compact Japanese pickup truck. Instead of a conventional trailer, the project uses a light utility vehicle with a custom wooden cabin insulated with foam and clad in lightweight panels. The interior includes a mini kitchen with a sink and an alcohol stove, a portable toilet, a fold-out bed, and a rooftop solar panel with a battery. The design is intended for short trips and as a demonstration of ultra-compact living, not for full-time occupancy.

Motorhome tourism revenue in Europe reaches €1.6 billion

According to the 2026 Stay Intentions Barometer by Camping-Car Park, 78.3% of travelers plan summer trips. The expected direct financial impact on host municipalities in the European network is €1.6 billion, up from €1.54 billion in 2025. Average daily spending per person is €39, excluding parking fees. Rising fuel prices are driving a shift to slow travel: 52.4% of respondents stay at least two nights, and 60% adjust routes due to logistics costs.

Ortiga Campground gives away two free nights

The Municipal Campground of Ortiga (Mação) celebrates its 24th anniversary on July 1, 2026. To mark the occasion, it launched a new Facebook page and a contest: participants must follow the page and email a description of their best camping moment by June 29. Brazilian congressman launches mobile office in motorhome, checks solar panel installation

Federal Deputy Acácio Favacho (MDB) started a new participatory mandate model in Amapá, using a motorhome as a mobile office. His first public hearing took place at the Mucajá housing complex in Macapá, where he also inspected the installation of solar panels. The 'Luz Baixa Mucajá' program, announced in March, will equip 592 apartments with photovoltaic systems at no cost to residents, with an estimated monthly savings of R$ 280 per household.

Fundraiser to rebuild skewer trailer after fire

A fundraising campaign has been launched in Ribeirão Preto (São Paulo state) to help João Sueo Ishiwatari, whose skewer trailer was completely destroyed by a fire caused by a short circuit on June 12. No injuries were reported as the trailer was not operating at the time. The flames consumed the structure, equipment, utensils, and stock. The trailer is the family's main source of income. Illegal power connection found in trailer in Limeira

The Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) of Limeira identified an illegal power connection in a trailer parked in the Cecap neighborhood. The trailer owner stated he was unaware the practice was illegal. Brazilian couple plans to drive motorhome to Japan

A couple from Curitiba, Brazil, plans to travel from Brazil to Japan in their own vehicle. The route includes crossing South America, shipping the car by sea to Europe from Panama, driving overland through Russia, then by sea to South Korea and finally to Japan. The Toyota Hilux is being converted into a motorhome, with completion targeted for November 2026. The journey is expected to take two to three years, with the couple working remotely and documenting the trip.

Lucas Buda, a former participant of 'BBB 24', has been hired by Brazilian YouTube channel A Crítica to cover the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States. Together with influencer Matheus Guedes, he is traveling by motorhome between host cities, reporting on behind-the-scenes content, match atmosphere, and local curiosities. Buda, a former physical education and capoeira teacher, moved to Manaus after the show and became a sports presenter on local TV.

Couple recovers stolen trailer, celebrates, and discovers another owner

In Rio de Janeiro, a couple of entrepreneurs recovered a snack trailer that had been stolen and found in a condominium in Barra da Tijuca. After celebrating, they discovered the trailer had not been stolen but sold without authorization by a renter. Police identified the fraudster, and after payment to the first owner, the couple managed to regularize the documents and resume their activities.
