Marla Vergin and Moritz Bächle, a chef and a pastry chef, have opened a pop-up 'Atelier Amuse' in St. Peter-Ording, where they prepare dishes from produce that the Edeka supermarket discards due to appearance. They also offer a private dining service at customers' homes: a six-course menu for twelve people starts at 160 to 180 euros per person. The couple lives in a converted Mercedes Sprinter on the parking lot next to the pop-up. The season ends on October 15, after which they plan a trip to Morocco.
