Kia PV5-based Lightcamp camper: modular design and V2L

Dutch conversion company Vantrac has started mass production of the Lightcamp electric camper based on the Kia PV5. Its key feature is removable modules, allowing the vehicle to be used as a cargo van on weekdays and a camper on weekends. Inside, a sliding bed measuring 188×129.5 cm is installed, and a roof pop-up tent is optional. V2L capability provides up to 3.6 kW for external devices without a generator. Price in Europe: €65,000.

Two Swedish luxury caravans for a million kronor: Polar Chimera and Kabe Imperial

At the Husvagnsexpo in Bromölla, two flagship Swedish-built caravans were presented — the Polar Chimera (Dorotea) and the Kabe Imperial (Tenhult). Both models cost around one million kronor, have a gross weight of about 2.6 tonnes, and require an extended B or E driving licence. According to expert Marcus Dolata, the differences are mainly design-related, while technical specifications and equipment are nearly identical.

Dalian Lidu RV starts construction of smart manufacturing base with annual capacity of 3,000 units

On July 21, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dalian Lidu RV Intelligent Manufacturing Base was held in the Dalian Free Trade Zone. The project, with a total investment of 207 million yuan, covers 26,000 square meters and will feature automated production lines and intelligent management systems. Completion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2028, with an annual output of 3,000 RVs and projected annual revenue of 600 million yuan. The base will produce towable, motorhome, campground, and special-purpose RVs for both domestic and export markets, including North America, Australia, and Europe.

Truma has unveiled the third-generation iNet X (Pro) Panel 2 digital control system. The new panel features a capacitive touchscreen, improved performance, and flush-mount installation. TireMinder has introduced the TireMinder Smart TPMS, which the company claims is the industry's first smartphone-based tire pressure monitoring system. The system eliminates the need for a dedicated dashboard display, showing tire pressure and temperature via Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or a mobile app. Sensors check tire conditions every six seconds for slow or rapid leaks, blowouts, pressure changes and excessive heat, sending AI-powered voice alerts and push notifications.
