Airstreamⓘ has unveiled the new compact caravan World Traveler 17RB, aimed at first-time buyers. According to sources, the model is 17 feet (5.18 m) or 5.2 meters long, with a kerb weight of 1430 kg, allowing it to be towed by most family cars and SUVs. Designed for two people, it features an aluminium body, double-glazed windows, a manual awning, a double bed measuring 53 inches (1346 mm) or 135 cm wide, a kitchen with two gas burners and a 59-litre fridge, plus a compact bathroom with shower and toilet. Inside, there is a Scandinavian design, a 24-inch Smart TV, and a Trumaⓘ Combi Eco Plus system. Optional extras include 200 W solar panels and a 2.5 kWh lithium battery. Production for the US has already started, with global market availability in autumn; the price has not been announced.
Additionally, Airstream has released a special '20 Years Europe Edition' based on the 534 model. The caravan is about 6.8 m long, has a gross weight of 1900 kg, and sleeps four people. Standard equipment includes a blue awning, a manoeuvring system, air conditioning, and a lithium iron phosphate battery. The price is 112,850 euros including VAT, which is 13,375 euros less than a comparable custom configuration.
