Native Campervans, through its sub-brand Hunker, has introduced the Hunker Pod modular camper system for the Ram ProMaster (2014 and newer) in the US market. Installation takes about an hour and requires no drilling or permanent modifications.
The pod includes electrical with a 312 Ah lithium battery, a kitchen with a Dometicⓘ fridge, a queen-size bed, a dining area, and a toilet. The module costs $32,995. A full package with a used van is estimated from $55,000, with a new van around $78,000.
The design is based on the European PlugVan system, adapted for the ProMaster 159 High Roof. Hunker plans versions for the Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
