Dometic

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) and Dometic have partnered to host training sessions at RVTI’s facility. Dometic will instruct attendees on the operation, common issues and accurate diagnosis of a wide range of Dometic/Atwood products, including hands-on training, technical discussions and troubleshooting air conditioners, water heaters, furnaces and refrigerators. Technicians will receive hours toward RVTI certification based on which days they attend: 8 hours for one day and 16 hours for both. The two-day programs have a cost of $300. The courses will take place on Oct. 20-21 and Jan. 26-27, 2027.

Dometic has launched the 400 Series Toilet lineup, a standardized RV sanitation platform with a shared 7.5–8 inch rough-in and universal 2-bolt mounting footprint across all models. The range includes the Essential 400, Complete 410, and Platinum 420, offering plastic or porcelain bowls and various feature levels, all interchangeable without plumbing or floorplan changes. The company states this is an industry first, simplifying specification for OEMs, installation for dealers, and upgrades for RV owners. Features include a sealed gravity-flush system, 18-inch comfort-height seat, soft-close lid, tool-free serviceability, and a reinforced structure tested to support over 700 pounds of front-load force. The toilets are assembled in the USA and come with a 2-year warranty.

In pavilion 2 of the Salone del Camper in Parma, an overview of outdoor accessories for open-air holidays is on display. Exhibits include Autohome roof tents (Air Camping and Maggiolina models), the Brunner Lounge Sofa inflatable sofa weighing 6.8 kg with an integrated electric pump, the Carcam Ardesia 2 hard-shell roof tent weighing 60 kg, protective covers for motorhomes from Co.Ar.Ca, the Dometic Residenze Air Tour caravan awning, Garmin Camper and Drive navigators with 7.1- and 8.8-inch displays, Isabella caravan accessories, the Mikitex Asia Plus awning in dark tones, the Vasco Translator M4 supporting over 80 languages, and the Vickywood Big Willow roof tent for 3–4 people.

Hobby has cut prices on its narrow semi-integrated Ontour C models by 9,000 euros. The Ontour C 680 GE now starts at 69,990 euros, while the Ontour C 700 GQ starts at 71,990 euros. The HobbyKomplett specification, which includes an awning, heated rear garage, Truma Combi heating and a 133-litre Dometic fridge, remains unchanged. The models use a Citroën Light chassis with 140 hp and front-wheel drive, with a wheelbase of 3.80 metres. The 680 GE measures 6.75 metres and has a running order mass of 3,028 kg; the 700 GQ measures 6.97 metres and weighs 3,084 kg. The 700 GQ has a payload reserve of 81 kg for optional equipment.

Dicot Designs has unveiled Gale, a fully custom camper van built on a new 2026 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter AWD with a 144-inch wheelbase. The vehicle was designed for client Lauren and her dog Finn for extended travel and remote work. It features a 24V Victron electrical system with a 400Ah lithium battery bank, an Infinity Shower recirculating system, Rixen hydronic heating, a Nomadic X3 air conditioner, Starlink connectivity, a kitchen with a Dometic NRX 80-liter refrigerator, a workstation with laptop storage and USB charging, and a queen-size bed with a soy-based memory foam mattress. Exterior equipment includes a Flatline Van Co. front bumper with bull bar, a Warn VR EVO 12-S winch, a rear differential skid plate, 17-inch Method wheels with BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrain tires, a 50mm Evictus suspension lift, and a 50-inch Baja Designs LED light bar.

German manufacturer Fendt has presented the layout of the Bianco Activ 445 SFB caravan. The trailer sleeps four: parents in a fixed French bed and children on a converted corner sofa. The model measures 6.77 m long and 2.32 m wide, has a kerb weight of 1,274 kg and a maximum mass optionally upgradeable to 1,500 kg. Equipment includes a 157-litre Dometic fridge, a 25-litre water tank and a Truma Combi 4 heater with an integrated 10-litre boiler.

CADAC | Dometic has released the Van Cook PRO FFD Deluxe portable gas grill for camping and vanlife. The device runs on a bayonet gas cartridge with a magnetic connection, eliminating the need for a hose and large bottle. The burner output is 1.6 kW, gas consumption 160 g/h, dimensions 36 × 19 × 29 cm, weight 6.4 kg. Included are a BBQ grate, fat pan, plancha, pot and coffee pot stands, lid, foldable windbreak, and carrying bag. Price is €189, warranty 2 years. Testing noted rapid water boiling (0.5 L in 4.5 minutes), even heat distribution, and easy cleaning thanks to the CeramiCoat ceramic coating.

A 20-foot single-axle 1965 Airstream Globe Trotter Land Yacht travel trailer is for sale out of La Pine, Oregon. It underwent substantial refurbishment in 2015, further work in 2021, and updates after the current seller bought it in 2024. Work included replacement of the subfloor, axle, electric drum brakes, plumbing, water heater, and fresh and black water tanks; the body was polished, and the interior was refinished in white with custom cabinetry, solid-surface countertops, LED lighting, and a Dometic air conditioner.

Dometic is returning to America's Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where Booth #509 will feature products from both Dometic and Valterra. The display includes climate control, sanitation, awnings, ventilation and water systems. The company will also host educational seminars and offer limited-time show discounts and rebates on select Dometic products. Attendees can enter a drawing to win a Valterra Silverback 28-Gallon Tote Tank.

At Lake Lipno, Volkswagen Užitkové vozy presented two camper conversions based on the Caravelle. The first, Caravelle Life with long wheelbase, 2.0 TDI (125 kW) and 4Motion all-wheel drive, features a removable Egoé Nestbox M module (CZK 84,990) with kitchen and bed, a Dometic fridge (CZK 18,499), an iKamper Skycamp 4.0 Quad roof tent (CZK 125,000) and an EcoFlow Delta 3 portable power station (1024 Wh). The second, Caravelle PanAmericana with short wheelbase, includes BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, Seikel suspension lift, Eberspächer 2 kW auxiliary heater, GFC V2 Pro roof tent and a custom VISU interior with Coolinary Box kitchen module (49 L fridge, gas stove) and EcoFlow Delta 2 Max (2048 Wh). Both offer flexible solutions for those who reject the new Multivan T7-based California.

CamperCas has unveiled the MAN TGE Adrenaline camper based on a 4x4 chassis. The model is available in Spain from 37,900 euros and accommodates four people. Equipment includes a bathroom with shower, Dometic kitchen, 70-liter fridge, two 120W solar panels, a 275Ah battery and a Webasto heater.

Spanish manufacturer Benimar has unveiled the Kaleo series of four models on Citroën Jumper chassis. Prices from €52,990 to €56,490, 2.2-litre 140 hp engine.

A 2017 Genesis 284 Challenger motorhome has been listed for sale. It has 86,000 km on the odometer. Equipment includes three 205 W solar panels, three 100 Ah LiFePO4 batteries, 3000 W and 600 W inverters, a Truma Combi 4D diesel heater, 100 L fresh and 80 L waste water tanks, and two 34 L UGAS composite gas cylinders. The interior features an electric drop-down bed, a separate shower, a cassette toilet, a 142 L refrigerator, and a three-burner gas stove. The base vehicle is a Fiat Ducato with a 2.3 Multijet 130 hp diesel engine and six-speed manual transmission; fuel consumption is 8.5–11 L/100 km. Noted defects include a worn gear in the Dometic roof hatch, seat covers needing reupholstery, and a repaired rear bumper with a colour mismatch.

On 12 September 2026, as part of Globetrotter Berlin's 30th anniversary, actor and vanlifer Raphaël Vogt of VAN UND DAVON will give a talk in Berlin about wintering in the Canary Islands with a motorhome. He will cover Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and La Gomera, and address practical issues such as transporting a camper to the islands, where to park and what to know for longer stays. The lecture starts at 13:00. Supported by Dometic, prizes worth over 1,000 euros will be raffled, including a CFX 5 compressor cooler, a Dometic CADAC camping stove and water bottles. Raffle ticket distribution ends at 12:30, with winners announced at 14:30.

Kabe has introduced the Imperial 630 TDL FK for the 2027 model year, a luxury caravan with an unusual layout: the kitchen is at the front, the living area in the middle, and the bedroom at the rear. It measures 8.50 m in length, 2.50 m in width, and 2.78 m in height, with a permissible gross weight of 2,300 kg and a base price of 93,495 euros. The caravan features a hybrid induction hob, oven, microwave, 167-liter compressor refrigerator, Alde Compact 3000 central heating, AGS II Pro underfloor heating, and a Dometic FreshJet FJX7 2600 air conditioner.

Dutch brand Mestic, operating for 10 years, has introduced a line of LiFePo4 batteries for motorhomes and caravans. Models from 100 to 300 amp-hours feature Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for monitoring via the Mestic app, plus CAN and CS bus for integration with Dometic and Truma systems. Built-in heating allows safe charging below freezing. According to the manufacturer, usable capacity is 90–100% for LiFePo4 versus 45–65% for lead-acid, with significantly lower weight. The 100 Ah model costs just under €650, the 300 Ah model €1,399, and a steel housing adds €30. Warranty is 5 years.

Valterra, a Dometic brand, has introduced the Silverback Tote Tank, a portable waste tank developed with input from RV owners and dealers. The lineup includes six configurations ranging from 15 to 36 gallons, available in two-wheel and four-wheel models. Features include a ClearView fill window, directional vent cap, 360-degree clean-out port, Tow-N-Pull handle, and secure hitch-ball towing connection. The product comes with a three-year limited warranty.

The Great Wall Poer 2023 motorhome has been introduced in Russia, featuring a 2.0-liter diesel engine (163 hp), automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. It includes 560 Ah lithium batteries, 400 W solar panels, a 3000 W inverter, Dometic air conditioning, Webasto heating and water heater, a 152-liter refrigerator, and a Thetford toilet. The price for a used unit is 5,500,000 rubles.

In Hallsberg, near Pålsboda, 29-year-old carpenter Henrik Szoholl has converted a motorhome to suit the needs of adventurers. The project was supported by Dometic, which supplied most of the accessories. Henrik previously converted a school bus.
