Camper van manufacturer DM Vans, founded in Gypsum, Colorado, in 2018, has produced 800 vehicles. The company now builds its lineup to RVIA standards at a factory in Rifle. In May, it sold out its 2026 model year three months ahead of plan. For 2027, every model from the 18-foot LV3 to the 21-foot LV7 will come standard with 600 amp-hours of lithium power, 400 watts of solar, a composting toilet, insulated window covers and a full-length roof rack. Reservations for 2027 builds are open, with prices starting at $99,800 including the Ram ProMaster chassis.

The Hunker Pod is a slide-in camper module that fits into a cargo van, converting it into a full-size camper. It costs $32,995 and is compatible exclusively with 159-inch wheelbase Ram ProMaster vans from model year 2014 or newer. Installation takes about an hour at the company's facility in Denver, Colorado, and requires no permanent modifications. The Pod is secured with bolts to the van's factory inserts, allowing it to be removed and the van returned to cargo use. Hunker says versions for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit are in development.

Papago Vans, a Mesa, Arizona-based company, has completed a camper van conversion on a 2026 Ram ProMaster 159 Extended with a high roof. The build features BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrain tires, a Van Compass suspension kit, a Warn 12S winch, four 100 W solar panels, an 800 Ah battery bank, a 3,000 W inverter/charger, a 33-gallon (125-liter) freshwater tank, and a Laveo dry-flush toilet. The El Capitan build on which this rig is based starts at $127,395 (€109,595), excluding the van.

American startup Thrivans from Utah has presented its debut motorhome project based on the Ram ProMaster. The vehicle is equipped with 400W solar panels, two 300 Ah batteries, a full bathroom with shower and Thetford toilet, and a bed measuring 183 by 167 cm. The US camper van market continues to grow: according to the RV Industry Association, tens of millions of Americans plan RV trips each year, contributing to a $159 billion economic footprint.
