Payment will be via a pay-by-phone app, with fines for non-compliance tied to license plates. New EU motorhome safety rules take effect in July

Industry experts estimate the added cost per new motorhome at €1,000–€3,000. DIY van converters should register their vehicles before July 7 — after that date, even a used chassis will be treated as a new registration and must comply with all mandatory systems.
