Three days after the major fire at Almeers Caravan Bedrijf in Almere Buiten, owner Ruud Davids is cautiously looking ahead. Part of the business will reopen on Tuesday. The fire broke out on Friday around lunchtime, initially involving three caravans. Of the 80 to 90 caravans on the site, about half were lost. The exact cause has not been officially determined; Davids suspects an overloaded charger. A damage expert assessed the impact on Monday, and removal of damaged caravans is expected next week.
