On August 26, a camper was involved in an accident on the A4 motorway near Vicenza. According to one source, the camper carried four people, one of whom sustained minor injuries and was taken to San Bortolo hospital. Another source reports that the camper overturned between the Vicenza Est and Vicenza Ovest junctions in the direction of Milan, with two adults and two children inside; all four exited on their own and were taken to hospital: one with a yellow code, three with a white code.
Firefighters arrived around 13:50, just after the Vicenza Est toll booth. A 7-kilometre queue formed on the stretch. The causes and circumstances are being established by the police.
According to updated reports, one of the four passengers was injured and taken to San Bortolo hospital with leg injuries. Firefighters stopped a fuel leak and stabilised the vehicle. Traffic was restricted for about an hour.
