On the morning of September 4, on road SP 232 in the Valaverte tunnel in Ziano (Val di Fiemme), a car and a camper collided, after which the car overturned.
According to one source, three people were in the car: two got out on their own, one had to be freed by firefighters using hydraulic tools. Two injured were handed over to medics. The tunnel was closed to traffic during rescue operations.
According to another source, three people were injured: two men aged 55 and 58 and an 81-year-old woman who is in serious condition. All were taken to the hospital in Cavalese. The sources differ on the number of injured: one reports two, the other three.
