The final of the nationwide ADAC competition 'Camper of the Year 2026' will take place on Saturday, September 5, from 10:00 to 16:00 on the open-air area in front of Hall 10 at the CARAVAN SALON trade fair in Düsseldorf.
12 finalists, selected in regional qualifying rounds across Germany, will demonstrate driving skills and complete special tasks. The main prize is a 14-day camping trip to North America with flight, worth over 8000 euros. Second place receives a voucher for seven nights at the KNAUS campsite, third place for three nights.
Last year, the title was won by Sascha Beckel from Heideese (Brandenburg).
In addition to the final, the German Camping Club (DCC) will award its seal of trust to five retailers, and the West German Donor Center will for the first time offer visitors the opportunity to register as stem cell donors.
