The final of the "ADAC Camper of the Year 2026" competition took place at the CARAVAN SALON trade fair in Düsseldorf. The winners were Sascha Beckel and Franziska Weigert from Heidesee (Brandenburg), while Lena Junge and Arne Jersch from Stuhr (Bremen) took second place. Third place went to Alessandro Kirchner and Jennifer Eichholz from Krauthausen (Thuringia), who received a voucher for three nights at the KNAUS campsite.
Across five tasks — three driving and two special challenges — the winners scored 15 points, second place 24 points, and third place 26 points. The winners received a 14-day trip to North America with flights worth more than 8,000 euros and a caravan care kit from Sonax worth more than 100 euros.
Participants competed in driving precision, maneuvering, and teamwork, driving an American camper rather than their own vehicle. The final assessed skills such as cornering, precise parking, and team communication. The competition highlights which driving and maneuvering skills truly matter in motorhomes and which safety aspects are crucial when driving as a team.
