Gone Mobile Vans, based in Costa Mesa, California, has introduced an off-road camper conversion of the long-wheelbase all-wheel-drive Ford Transit. The van's wheelbase is 3.76 meters.
The vehicle is equipped with a Quigley four-wheel-drive system and a Quisley suspension lift kit that raises ground clearance by 5 cm. Off-road tires add another 2.5 cm, bringing total ground clearance to 203 mm. Features include a Super Pacific Cloud Cap pop-up roof tent with a fan and 220 W solar panel, two captain's chairs, a fixed double bed measuring 203 x 152 cm, a kitchen unit with sink, stove and refrigerator, a Tetravan shower, and an EcoFlowⓘ 48 V autonomous power system with two 5 kWh batteries and a 3600 W inverter (one source mentions a 12 V system with a 5 kWh EcoFlow battery).
The conversion cost ranges from $75,000 to $95,000. The base Ford Transit is priced between $60,000 and $75,000. The camper is aimed at the summer season.
