Dethleffs presented the C.Core concept for a fully self-sufficient motorhome at Caravan Salon 2026, featuring solar modules that unfold like a flower, large batteries, and an onboard water treatment system. Components already on the market can bring current motorhomes close to that level of autonomy: Solara Power S high-voltage solar modules with bypass diodes, the Th Energy Bat Pro 325 US lithium battery with 325 Ah capacity, the modular Ecoflow Power Kit expandable up to 45 kWh, the Ective Solar Shade rollable awning producing up to 4.5 kWh per day, and the WM Aquatec UV-aid+ portable filter that generates about 80 liters of drinking water in 10 minutes.

The owner of a Toyota HiAce 9th generation, scheduled for delivery in November, outlined the planned camper setup for overnight stays. The main focus is a sleeping area using the wide cargo space, with storage underneath and a slide floor extending 1200–1500 mm. A TV or monitor with Fire TV Stick is planned, powered by an EcoFlow Delta 3 Max 2048Wh portable power station and an EcoFlow 500W alternator charger, along with a Global Tight hitch member. The interior will be predominantly black and minimalist. The vehicle will not be converted exclusively for camping but will be used for daily driving, travel, and occasional overnight stays.

Business Insider has published a selection of five portable power stations for use in motorhomes. The list includes the EcoFlow Delta 2, Jackery Explorer 1000 v2, Bluetti AC180P, Anker Solix C1000X and DJI Power 2000. The article notes that capacity, weight, charging speed and solar charging capability are key when choosing a device. Models with LiFePO4 batteries are considered more durable and safer. The Outpost 6.5 is a detachable truck camper for full-size pickups from the 1/2-ton class. The cabin weighs approximately 708 kg dry, with an interior height of about 196 cm and a floor length of 194 cm. Standard equipment includes an EcoFlow Independence Kit with a 5 kWh LFP battery, a 3,600 W inverter, and a 250 W solar panel. The manufacturer is based in Bayfield, Colorado, US; regular availability in Germany is not mentioned. The starting price is 41,995 US dollars.

Forest River has debuted the first production-ready Teleos 25.RD travel trailer at the Hershey RV Show. The 25-foot (7.6 m) tandem-axle model on a BAL chassis features a rear dinette, sleeping for four, an L-shaped kitchen with InvisaCook induction cooktop, and an EcoFlow Generation 2 power system. Pricing with options is in the mid-$90,000s, with production limited to demand.

Gone Mobile Vans, a Costa Mesa, California-based company, has presented a camper van build based on a 2026 AWD Ford Transit with a high roof. The build costs between $75,000 and $95,000 depending on final specifications. The van features a 2-inch lift, Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires, and off-road components from Transit Offroad. The interior includes an east-west queen-size bed, a kitchen with an 85-liter fridge, a second 48-liter fridge, a 12 kW EcoFlow power system with three batteries, and a 24-gallon freshwater tank.

A couple from Quebec built an expedition camper on a new four-wheel-drive Ford F-550 chassis. The 4-meter-long, 3.6-meter-high habitation box is bolted to the frame; the total length is 7.3 meters. The interior includes a kitchen with a stove and refrigerator, a wet bath with a composting toilet, a wood stove, a dinette, and an overcab bed. Water capacity is 200 liters, solar panels produce 900 watts, and EcoFlow batteries provide 7.2 kWh. Each camper cost about CAD$40,000 excluding the truck.

A test compared the Ecoflow River 2 Pro (768 Wh) and Delta 3 Plus (1024 Wh) portable power stations as an alternative to installing an auxiliary battery, inverter and 12 V sockets in a campervan. The units, with up to 1600 W in Boost mode, cannot fully power a hair dryer or kettle, but are suitable for a fridge, charging gadgets and low-wattage appliances. Prices for models around 1000 Wh start at 500 euros; unlike fixed installations, they are not exempt from VAT when purchased for a motorhome.

At Lake Lipno, Volkswagen Užitkové vozy presented two camper conversions based on the Caravelle. The first, Caravelle Life with long wheelbase, 2.0 TDI (125 kW) and 4Motion all-wheel drive, features a removable Egoé Nestbox M module (CZK 84,990) with kitchen and bed, a Dometic fridge (CZK 18,499), an iKamper Skycamp 4.0 Quad roof tent (CZK 125,000) and an EcoFlow Delta 3 portable power station (1024 Wh). The second, Caravelle PanAmericana with short wheelbase, includes BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, Seikel suspension lift, Eberspächer 2 kW auxiliary heater, GFC V2 Pro roof tent and a custom VISU interior with Coolinary Box kitchen module (49 L fridge, gas stove) and EcoFlow Delta 2 Max (2048 Wh). Both offer flexible solutions for those who reject the new Multivan T7-based California.

Colorado-based Geotrek Vans has introduced the Verus, a four-season Class B+ camper van built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 170 chassis with all-wheel drive. Pricing starts at $198,775.

Philadelphia-based Vanture Customs unveiled the Overlook, a camper van conversion based on the Ford Transit 350 AWD EcoBoost. It features a 10kWh EcoFlow electrical system, a Murphy bed, a hidden shower, and other amenities for off-grid living. Pricing starts at $143,000.

German startup Urbanoid has started taking orders for the Booba One, a 280 kg trailer that combines a tent and a caravan. It inflates in under two minutes and features a double bed, a 45-liter water tank, and an EcoFlow River 3 power station. Priced at €15,900, deliveries are expected to begin in November 2026.

In a Reddit thread on r/RVLiving, a shopper asked for the highest-capacity portable power station they could trust for around $1,500 to use as a backup inside an RV. Commenters recommended brands like Bluetti, Jackery, Anker, and EcoFlow, while noting that lithium batteries degrade even when unused, especially if stored at zero charge. Examples included a Jackery 1000 running fans for over 24 hours after a hurricane and an Anker Solix C2000 handling short bursts from major appliances and lasting about two days under lighter use. Advice centered on sizing systems based on actual power needs and considering separate battery-and-inverter setups as an alternative to all-in-one units.

EcoFlow and HGPower will showcase portable power stations, solar panels, refrigerators, and the Power Kit system at Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf for camping and home use.

Toyota Mobility Kanagawa has introduced the Alto Piano Mini camper, built on the Toyota Pixis Van. The vehicle measures 3395×1475×1890 mm, allowing it to enter multi-storey car parks with height restrictions. The interior seats four and converts into a double bed measuring 1940×1200 mm. Three two-tone colour options are available, along with optional mosquito nets, sunshades and a portable EcoFlow Delta 2 power station.

It includes an integrated EcoFlow power system, optional 600-watt solar panels, and app-based monitoring. Two models are available starting at $59,995, with deliveries scheduled for fall 2026 and spring 2027.

Redpoint Vanture, a Michigan-based van outfitter, has completed a new camper van conversion called Bivouac, based on a Ford Transit 148 with a high roof and all-wheel drive. Designed for one or two travelers, it features a minimalist interior with a queen-size bed, a kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave, a hidden shower, and a portable toilet. The van is equipped with an EcoFlow 10-kWh lithium battery, 550W of solar panels, and an Espar heater, making it suitable for year-round travel.

Vanture Customs unveiled the compact Voyager camper based on the Ram ProMaster with a wheelbase of 3454 mm. The conversion costs from $59,000, or about 4.9 million rubles, with the van itself paid separately. Inside, there is a kitchen with a Dometic fridge, a transverse bed with removable sections, a 48-volt EcoFlow system with 15 kWh of energy, a 113-liter water tank, an outdoor shower, a diesel heater, and air conditioning. Vanture calls the Voyager the most spacious short Class B camper on the market.
