A 2016 Tiffin motorhome towing a Jeep Wrangler rolled into a ditch on U.S. 212 near mile marker 173 by Ridgeview, South Dakota, on Monday. The South Dakota Department of Public Safety said slush and snow caused the driver to lose control. An 85-year-old passenger died at the scene. The driver was taken to a hospital in Eagle Butte with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Names have not been released pending family notification, and the investigation is ongoing.

AWAKEN RV announced a manufacturing collaboration with Baymont Composites, a designer and manufacturer of fiberglass and composite components. The agreement is intended to increase production capacity for molded-fiberglass travel trailers and meet growing customer demand. Baymont Composites' Mississippi operations have ties to Tiffin Motorhomes' vertically integrated manufacturing system. Paint and finish work has been commissioned to Prestige Painting in Belmont, Mississippi.

A Tiffin Phaeton American motorhome has been listed on the Polish classifieds site Otomoto. The price is 1.5 million zlotys, or 47,600 zlotys per square meter. The vehicle is located in Gorzów Wielkopolski, imported from the USA, with 77,206 km on the odometer. It measures 12.6 m long, 2.5 m wide, 3.8 m high, and has a gross vehicle weight of up to 20 tonnes. Power comes from a 8.9-litre Cummins turbodiesel producing 457 hp, paired with a six-speed Allison automatic. Driving it may require a C1 or C licence category.

RV PRO has announced its editors' picks for the Best New Models of 2027, comprising 25 models. The selection includes brand-new models, refreshed existing products, and those with innovative updates that caught the attention of RV PRO editors at Open House. The winners will be highlighted in the December 2026 issue. Among the recognized models are Forest River East to West Bravado 35KB, Keystone Sprinter 37FLWC, Tiffin Motorhomes GH2 24FV, Airstream World Traveler, Grand Design Solitude 394RO, Newmar Dutch Star 35th Anniversary, and others.

Four companies control the majority of RV brands in the North American market: REV Group, Forest River, Winnebago, and Thor Industries. REV Group owns Holiday Rambler, Fleetwood, American Coach, and Monaco Coach; Forest River, owned by Warren Buffett, includes Coachmen, Berkshire Luxury Coach, Dynamax, and East To West; Winnebago owns Grand Design and Newmar; Thor Industries owns Airstream, Dutchmen, Jayco, Tiffin, and CrossRoads. Consolidation may lower costs and simplify the supply chain, but can also lead to reduced quality control and cookie-cutter designs.

Opening day at the Hershey RV show in Pennsylvania on Sept. 16 drew 7,322 attendees, the highest first-day figure since 2021, when 8,899 people came. In 2025 opening day had 6,497 visitors, 6,816 in 2024, 6,279 in 2023, and 6,359 in 2022. Despite a morning downpour, buyers continued to explore models from Coleman, Tiffin, and the debuting Cornerstone.

THOR Industries announced additional leadership changes as part of the evolution of its North American RV operating model. Ken Walters is appointed President of the North American RV division.

Tiffin Motorhomes announced that Cornerstone Luxury Coach, a new standalone luxury motorhome brand based in Red Bay, Alabama, will make its public debut at America's Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Sept. 16-20. A prototype was shown in June to a small group. Attendees will see the first production unit of the Cornerstone Series 6 with the 645D floorplan. The brand features the PowerGlide chassis, PowerDrive steering, and True-Frame wall construction. Only 15 units will be produced for model year 2027, each individually numbered. Sales will begin at the show, with Blue Compass RV as the partnering dealer.

David and Jennifer Sinclair, traveling in a Tiffin Allegro Bus Class A motorhome, lost their Chevy Colorado pickup truck during a fuel stop in Fort St. John, British Columbia. The tow base plate attached to the truck's frame broke off at an intersection, and the couple drove away without noticing. A video of the motorhome dragging the truck's bumper has been viewed millions of times. The Sinclairs retrieved the damaged truck and postponed their trip to Alaska.

Tiffin Motorhomes closed its Winfield, Alabama facility on May 12, laying off 139 employees. The company, which had produced Class C motorhomes there for 54 years, cited consolidation of operations. Production of Class A, B, and C vehicles will now be concentrated at its flagship campus in Red Bay, Alabama.

Tiffin Motorhomes has created a new executive role, vice president of quality, appointing Michael Fennell, formerly director of quality control. Fennell will oversee quality across all Tiffin and Cornerstone products throughout their lifecycle, from concept to warranty. His responsibilities include strengthening inline manufacturing quality, enhancing pre-delivery inspection processes, and using warranty data for continuous improvement. The new position underscores the company's investment in consistent product quality.

A review of ten RV models including Axiom Imperium (13 m, 10,886 kg) and Country Coach Magna 630 (Caterpillar C13, 525 hp). The vehicles range from 12 to 20 m, feature bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and guest areas.

Tiffin Motorhomes celebrated the 84th birthday of its founder and CEO Bob Tiffin on March 5 at its headquarters in Red Bay, Alabama. Founded in 1972, the company is a respected motorhome manufacturer. Bob Tiffin remains actively involved in daily operations and maintains personal contact with customers.

Dealership group RV Station is expanding its Texas market presence by adding Tiffin motorhomes to its inventory. The network of nine locations across Texas and Southern Oklahoma aims to address a market gap by offering an educational sales approach over high-pressure tactics. Texas ranks third in U.S. RV spending with an annual market of approximately $1.8 billion.

Tiffin Motorhomes, a subsidiary of THOR Industries, will open a new Class C motorhome production line on May 13 in Red Bay, Alabama. The Winfield plant is closing, affecting 140 jobs, with 30 to 40 employees transferring to the new line. A prior erroneous listing on a state website indicated the Red Bay facility would also close.

THOR Industries announced the immediate resignation of Leigh Tiffin as President of Tiffin Motorhomes. The Tiffin family will remain engaged in the business, with founder Bob Tiffin staying actively involved and Van Tiffin continuing as Senior Advisor of Manufacturing. During the transition, Jayco will assist the Tiffin Motorhomes leadership team.
