Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson signed four of the city council's five RV parking regulations and vetoed the fifth, citing efficacy concerns. The rejected measure, passed on 20 October, would have required people living in RVs on city streets to obtain a permit or risk towing, and would have allowed overnight parking only in industrial areas. It was the first veto by a Seattle mayor since June 2022. Wilson said the permit programme was not a clear step forward before adequate alternatives are in place. Councilmember Dan Strauss said the mayor's office had promised not to veto the bill.
