KEC Motors unveiled the Mountaineer Grand Expedition expedition camper at Caravan Salon 2026, based on a 7-metre Mercedes Sprinter. The build uses lightweight materials and aircraft-inspired joinery, including a mortise-and-tenon technique, to create furniture that does not squeak. The camper features a diesel ceramic hob from Finnish manufacturer Wallas that draws fuel directly from the vehicle tank. Conversion prices start at around €148,000 for the VW Crafter and MAN TGE and around €167,000 for the Mercedes Sprinter. The show vehicle with full equipment is priced at around €240,000.
