Plans lodged for new caravan community beside Leatherhead Road

Founder Dan Yates attributes the growth to factors including TV shows like Clarkson's Farm, interest in UK holidays, affordability, and warmer summers. Farmers report that campsite income has become vital to their businesses.

Residents and holidaymakers have been allowed back into a caravan park near Dunwich Heath after a wildfire that spread across about 112 hectares. Fire crews remain on scene tackling hotspots, while police escort people to collect personal belongings. The Dunwich Classic Car Mini Rally will go ahead on August 9, and an information centre at Westleton Village Hall will be open from 9am to 4pm.
