Fratelli d'Italia in Borgo San Lorenzo has proposed checking the possibility of creating a motorhome stopover at the town's swimming centre. The idea had already been put forward in the past in municipal planning.
The party says the area already has water and electricity connections, staff, parking, lighting and services. This could cut construction costs and simplify management compared with building a new, isolated site. The project would include suitable pitches, lighting and video surveillance, waste collection, automated payment columns, electricity hook-up, water supply and waste water disposal. Motorhomers would have access to the swimming centre's services, including the bar.
An indicative rate is €10 a day, covering the stay, electricity, water and waste water disposal. The final price would be set in a financial plan taking into account construction, maintenance and management costs. Management could be entrusted to Vivi lo Sport or agreed with the centre's current operator. The number of pitches would be decided after checking available space and technical, planning and environmental rules. Summer packages could combine the stay with swimming pool entry. The party asks the municipality to verify the project with the operator, sector associations and businesses.
