Wiltshire Council approved a camping and caravan site at Thornham Farm in Seend, near Melksham. Farmers Simeon and Amy Plumb, who installed two glamping pods in 2023, plan to add four bell tents on timber decking, 10 tent pitches, four touring caravan spots, and wash facilities. Approval is conditional on constructing passing places on New Lane before caravans are allowed, and strict lighting restrictions to protect greater and lesser horseshoe bats.
