The campsite Naturresort Weserinsel in Hagen-Grinden, which reopened after renovation in July 2024, has reported high demand for the May holidays. Owner Philipp von Arnim said that the 31 pitches are almost fully booked, and overcrowding is expected for Ascension and Pentecost. Plans include expansion to 95 pitches in 2026 and a glamping area with tiny houses and treehouses on an adjacent plot.
Camping Schütte in Horb, jokingly called the 18th district of the town, has been fully digitalized. Owner Reinhold Kuch introduced automatic license plate recognition and 24/7 online booking, reducing reception staff from three to one. An AI-based chatbot to answer guest questions is planned for the start of the high season (Pentecost). Kuch is also considering installing a machine for quick self-check-in.
