In Pisogne, Italy, the company Area camper Pisogne srl has obtained a 20-year concession from the municipality for a 3,000 sqm plot in the Nistoi area, known as the "scout meadow." Plans include about 50 pitches for camper vans with electricity, water supply, toilets, an ecological island, and a dog area. The investment under project financing amounts to 350,000 euros.
However, on July 22, 2026, the environmental association Legambiente Basso Sebino and local residents held a flash mob protest. They point to the risk of flooding from the Oglio River and the lake, the protected status of the area, a valuable reed bed with high biodiversity, and the existence of a nearby campsite. Protesters demand that the site be preserved as a public green space for recreation and sports.
