The municipality of Piozzo has completed a new camper stop in the San Grato area and approved its management regulations. The facility features six equipped pitches with free water filling and waste disposal, plus electricity via a token system. Stays are limited to 72 consecutive hours, and the stop will close during winter due to lack of frost protection. The project was funded by a €59,000 regional grant and €15,000 from the municipal budget.

The Fiumicino city council unanimously approved the creation of municipal equipped areas for temporary motorhome parking. The aim is to regulate the flow of motorhome tourists, protect the coastal natural areas and tap into a growing tourism market that can bring resources to local businesses. Average daily spending per person in this segment is nearly 98 euros. Due to a lack of parking and infrastructure, weekends and summer see wild parking, bivouacs and unregulated gatherings at critical points such as Piazzale Molinari in central Fiumicino, Focene, the seafronts of Fregene and Maccarese, and near the delicate dunes of Passoscuro. The measure, proposed by the Forza Italia council group, commits the administration to identify municipal land suitable for motorhome parking, prioritising high-tourism areas, and to equip them with modern Camper Service systems including waste water disposal, drinking water, electric charging points, automated barriers and digital payment systems.

In Como's Tavernola district, dozens of trees, including a century-old poplar, have been felled to expand the camper area at Piazzale Famiglia Mauri. The project, backed by a bipartisan city council vote, will more than double the number of motorhome pitches. Residents protested in May, but the felling continues; criticism focuses on the lack of toilets and the fate of the greenery.

A motorhome service area project in Bibbiena, presented in early 2023 as Casentino Village, has not been realised. The project envisaged private investment of approximately 250,000 euros and 32 pitches for motorhomes with electric hook-ups, waste disposal, toilets, showers, barbecue and picnic areas. In 2024–2025 residents of the lower-lying streets reported damage to their homes; the municipality acknowledged the need for geological surveys. In July 2025 the municipality awarded Geotecnica Lavori srl a contract for continuous drilling to 20 metres, sampling and inclinometer installation for 6,032.90 euros, with a 30-day deadline. According to available information, the works have not been carried out and monitoring has not begun.

On Sunday, 27 September, from 9:30 to 19:00, Bonometti Centrocaravan in Altavilla Vicentina holds an open day. The event follows the Salone del Camper in Parma and launches the dealership's seasonal calendar. Visitors can view 2027 caravan and camper novelties, as well as new and used vehicles from Bürstner, Carado, Etrusco, Hymer, Laika and Crosscamp. PLEINAIRCLUB members receive a 10% discount on camping and leisure accessories, excluding promotions.

Work has started in Capracotta on a new motorhome area designed to accommodate up to 20 vehicles simultaneously. The project includes 20 pitches and a full camper service system for waste disposal and refilling, with video surveillance already in place. The municipal administration is carrying out the initiative as part of a strategy to boost tourism and attract motorhome travellers to the Alto Molise region.
