In Aosta, a private investor has proposed renovating the municipal camper area on Via Caduti del Lavoro. The municipality is considering a tender for the renovation, which includes expansion, landscaping, shaded areas, and upgraded sanitary facilities. In parallel, authorities are studying the construction of a second, smaller camper area farther from the center. Since 2018, the area has had no manager due to unprofitability, and users complain about lack of electricity, dirt, and non-working toilets.
In Poggibonsi (Tuscany), the renovation project for the Vallone camper area has been approved. The total budget is €200,000, partially funded by the Ministry of Tourism (€36,000). Plans include 10 equipped pitches with controlled access, video surveillance, Wi-Fi, a picnic area, water and electricity supply, an information point, an automatic barrier, traffic lights, and enhanced lighting. Mayor Susanna Cenni noted that the renovation is part of a broader plan, including negotiations with private companies for a larger camper area in a strategic location.
