Work has started on a new equipped motorhome area in Montepulciano at Piazzale della Misericordia. The project will provide 44 pitches with services and automatic access control, with an estimated construction period of 120 working days. The total cost is around 540,000 euros, funded by a municipal loan of 276,000 euros and a 264,000 euro grant from the Ministry of Tourism. The pitches will be arranged on three levels, each at least 40 square metres, with block paving. Facilities include a service block with toilets, electric hook-ups, drinking water points, a waste disposal area, low-energy LED lighting and green spaces with picnic tables and a children's play area.
