The Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA) has unconditionally approved plans for a 60-day recreational campsite adjacent to Hillcroft Caravan Park in Pooley Bridge, Penrith. The decision was made on Wednesday, July 29. Access to the temporary campsite will be via the existing caravan park. The site will have no more than 40 pitches and will use only movable structures, with portable toilet/washing blocks and wastewater removed to the United Utilities Wastewater Treatment Works in Kendal. The campsite must operate in accordance with the submitted details, or it will lose permitted development rights.
