Great Yarmouth Borough Council has vowed to continue tackling eyesore vehicles after a caravan was seen parked next to the cemetery on Kitchener Road in Great Yarmouth. In May, nearly 20 abandoned caravans and vans were removed from roads in the town. The authority was assigned new responsibility for tackling illegal highway encampments. A council spokesman said reported encampments have been reduced from 35 to fewer than five. The caravan's owner is thought to intend to move it to private land promptly.
