Motorhome batteries are frequently damaged during winter storage due to standby power consumption and freezing. Modern systems continue to draw power in standby mode, leading to sulfation and battery discharge. A discharged battery can freeze at temperatures around 0°C, causing physical damage. To prevent issues, using a smart trickle charger or completely disconnecting the battery during storage is recommended.
