Batteries in motorhomes can be irreversibly damaged during winter storage due to parasitic drain and freezing. Modern systems like radio memory or alarms consume standby power, leading to sulfation and capacity loss. A discharged battery also risks freezing at around 0°C, causing physical destruction. To prevent damage, using a smart maintenance charger or fully disconnecting and storing the battery in a heated space is recommended.
