The abandoned Dyksterhus campsite in East Frisia, located directly behind the North Sea dike, was sold at an auction in Berlin for €234,000. The starting bid was €175,000. The 13,120-square-meter site includes a vacant farmhouse from 1959, a trekking hut, and a dike. The campsite operated until 2024, after which a redevelopment with 85 pitches was planned but did not materialize. The new owner and future plans for the site have not been disclosed.
