A couple from Trelew, Chubut, Hugo Egilus (39) and Andrea Lormino (38), sold their house, car, and belongings to travel. They first spent eight months touring 22 countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia as tourists, then returned to Argentina and converted a 2006 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter into a motorhome.
The vehicle features a toilet, hot water, a kitchen with an oven, and a diesel boiler. The couple travels with two dogs, Lulu and Minnie, and plans to visit all 23 provinces, favoring small towns and rural roads. They have already driven over 22,000 km across Argentina, visiting 10 provinces, and also drove the entire Southern Road in Chile.
The couple earns a living through social media: according to one source, they have over 410,000 followers; according to another, about 345,000 on Instagram and over 15,000 on YouTube.
