Corralejo in Fuerteventura retains a historic fishing centre with low white houses and an old port. To the south lies the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park, covering over 2,600 hectares, with the Grandes Playas beaches that National Geographic listed among the world's best. Lobos Island, 4.58 km², is 15 minutes away by sea and requires a free permit. For campers, the Park4night app lists a free 21-space car park on Calle las Palmeras and a DISA service station on avenida Nuestra Señora del Carmen with water, toilets, laundry and gas bottles. The Baleària Canarias ferry from Cádiz to Fuerteventura takes about 28 hours 35 minutes with a stop in Lanzarote; the ferry between Lanzarote and Corralejo takes about 35 minutes and accepts motorhomes. In September the Cabildo announced it is considering limiting motorhome entry in certain months due to overcrowding of natural areas and parking.
