In the US, converted school buses known as skoolies are increasingly being used as mobile homes. They offer more living space than camper vans and cost less than large motorhomes. A skoolie can exceed 10 metres in length, allowing for a kitchen, shower, bedroom and workspace. Manufacturers such as Blue Bird already sell fully electric school buses, opening the way for electric skoolie conversions.
