Seneca Lake Resorts has started ground preparation for an expansion at Sampson State Park that will add 68 recreational vehicle sites. Work began on Saturday in the park's 800-loop camping area. The park currently has 243 electric campsites across five camping loops. No completion date, pricing, reservation start date or utility connection details have been announced. The 2026 camping season at the park runs from 15 May to 11 October, and the 2027 season is set for 21 May to 10 October.
