On 18 September, the State Council of the PRC circulated a notice from ten departments, including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, on measures to stimulate motorhome consumption. The document optimises registration, disposal and driver training.
Key measures
- For non-commercial small and micro motorhomes, the mandatory service life is abolished — it is equated to passenger cars.
- For rental small and micro motorhomes, the service life is increased from 15 to 25 years.
- For residential caravan trailers, the service life is increased from 15 to 20 years.
- The document also provides for more test sites for category C6, the creation of motorhome parking, campsite development and financial support measures.
