A comparison of three 7-day summer motorhome routes has been published. The northwestern Hubei route features free natural attractions and is suitable for families with children; the Qinghai Lake route offers the most fully equipped campsites (80–150 yuan per night) and targets experienced travellers; the three-province Central China route allows convenient motorhome rental and return in Wuhan, Changsha and Yichang. The per-person budget ranges from 3,000 to 5,000 yuan, and a C1 licence is sufficient to drive a motorhome up to 6 metres long. A daily driving distance of no more than 200 km is recommended.
